Well that was odd:

$ pacman -U
http://archlinux.org/~aaron/pacman/pacman-rc-3.0.0-9.pkg.tar.gz

pacman-rc-3.0.0-9       1174K  458.1K/s 00:00:02 [##############] 100%
loading package data... error: failed to add target 'itch.' (could not
find or read file)

Running pacman -U on the local file, after downloaded, worked fine
though. :/

I can reproduce it consistently with pacman rc8, but not with rc9 -
fixed between rcs?
