Btw, I think it didn't matter at all in this case that you didn't provide a
patch, since it was rather a patch of my own patch, and a silly mistake from
me. A patch might have been nicer (cleanly written code, references to
functions and line numbers etc), but it was already very clear this way.

Though in many other cases, a patch is indeed much more helpful and clear,
so I'll still have to agree with Dan.
