So, what about patching it to be arch-specific when its package is
built? This way you can distribute a source package that contains the
general man-page, while you can get an extra "ARCH BEHAVIOR" section
that's going to show up only when using the arch PKGBUILD.

An alternative would be creating a new man-page||package that is
clearly marked as arch-specific. In this case you can clearly separate
generic and specific material, while the previous proposal can be a
bit more hackish and messy.
