Please follow these guidelines for formatting your patches:
1) Give your patch a short title. Less than 80 characters is good
2) Give a longer description in the lines below the title.  This should 
cover the "whys" and "hows" of the patch.
3) Any comments directed at the developers/mailing list members can be 
included below the "---".
