"This contains the directory where makepkg copies and extracts all
source files." really seems fine to me (note the or->and switch, since
we do both). No need to have a dangling preposition at the end.

"A bed of your own", "A house of your own", "variables of your own".

I actually meant the "" vs '' vs `` as much as the comma business,
which is really a matter of choice/location, it seems
(http://dictionary.reference.com/help/faq/language/g58.html).
