kernel26 2.6.37.1-2 and mkinitcpio 0.6.8-2 has a versioned dependency for util-linux 2.19 to avoid the case when kernel initrd is regenerated without having any util-linux package. FS#23011
I was about to signoff this (and kernel26-2.6.27.2-1) when I started experiencing (what seems like) hard drive failures; these are probably unrelated to the package updates, but, while I investigate, I thought this should probably be noted here.
Nothing to do with the upgrade indeed; it was a purely hardware issue.
Anyway, after testing them on a non-broken machine, I can signoff on util-linux & friends for i686.
Signoff x86_64; /tmp on tmpfs is back in df -h output and all is good. -Dan
