Hi there, I'm currently working with Wilhelm to get a booth organized for the project at this year's FrOSCon. More than happy to include a DevRoom if that's what we want :-). We should ensure that we synchronise this accordingly because it doesn't make much sense to have two requests for an Arch DevRoom coming from different people. So just let me know. Things that come to mind include: - IoT, - Embedded systems, - Packet management, - Ports to non-Intel CPUs, - Arch on Mainframes :-), What else you think is worth including? [arch-events] Archlinux "booth" at Chemnitzer Linuxtage 2019

Hi everyone, There will be a small Arch Linux booth at this year's Chemnitzer Linuxtage coming up on March 16th and 17th 2019. Anyone attending feel free to come and talk to us about this fine Linux distribution. I'm sorry for the admittedly short notice, but I've been busy lately and totally forgot to send a message to this list. Chemnitzer Linuxtage [0] is a small Linux conference held every year in Eastern Germany. Besides a "live" area featuring booths of both companies working with and around FOSS, and various Open Source projects, the event also features a schedule of talks and workshops. The talks are also streamed and recorded. In past years there were quite a few distributions that had booths at the event including Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, Mageia, and ReactOS, but Arch was missing and so two friends and I decided to get involved. We are neither developers, nor TUs, but we are quite fond of the distribution and like to get the word out about it, and/or just talk with people that share our interest. We also want to set up the booth for hands-on troubleshooting, though we are not really sure how people will actually interact with us, so we will be collecting experience and maybe do this again (better) next year. Yo! Last year at FOSDEM we where quite a few members from the Arch team present, and I though it would be nice to have a dinner together! My suggestion is to do it Friday around 18:00 then head for the beer event at delirium afterwards. To make it managable I'll cap the attendees to 15 people. Priority for members of the Arch team (developers, trusted users and support staff) and any free spots after this can be taken by anyone interested :) Please send an email so I have some ability to keep track. If Friday does not fit for some people in the team, please write if saturday or sunday fits better. If multiple people arrive super late we could move things around, or have multiple dinners! Dear Sir or Madam, On October 13-14, 2018 the FOSSCOMM organizing committee will hold the 11th FOSSCOMM meeting. FOSSCOMM (Free and Open Source Software Communities Meeting) is the pan-Hellenic conference of free and open source software communities. It is addressed at programmers, students and anyone else interested in the open source movement, despite their background. Participating communities include the Hellenic Linux User Group (HELLUG), contributors of open source projects such as Mozilla, Fedora, OpenSuse, KDE and more. The content of the conference includes a wide variety of topics ranging from technical issues and workshops to translations, legal issues, political issues concerning opensource software and hardware. The event is usually attended by a few hundreds of people, with the largest number having been recorded in Patras in 2011 with about 450 participants. It is held on an annual basis since 2008 and till today it has been organized in 6 different cities. This year we are expecting approximately 400 participants. In preparation for this event, we are asking for your support in donating items (swags) like t-shirts, stickers, banners, usb-sticks, CDs/DVDs that will be given for free to the participants. Swags are loved by all, and they are a great way to market your organization or your project.
