Greetings,
My name is Gareth J. Greenaway and I am the Community Relations chair
for the Southern California Linux Expo. Our show is taking place on
February 25th - 27th, 2011 at the Hilton LAX in Los Angeles, California.
Because Arch is an open source project we are prepared to offer a
complementary booth on our show floor which includes all the usual
amenities such as electricity, one ethernet drop, one 6' table, chairs
and of course complementary passes to the show.
I am also including a link to our Call for Papers in case anyone is
interested in submitting a presentation for consideration.

If this sounds like something the Arch community is interested in,
please let me know as soon as possible as the exhibitor space will be
filling up soon.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks!
Gareth

Hi Wouter and friends,
I'm interested in giving the following session:
"Can we build a simple, cross-distribution installation framework?"
Although I will think about the format further, it will probably be
mostly about these two things:
On one hand to explain the philosophy and implementation of the Arch
Linux installation framework, and most importantly: lessons learned from
it.
on the other hand I want to initiate a discussion on how multiple
distributions can work together maintaining an installation framework
and whether it would be feasible to do so.
In my experience, many issues and features are
distribution-independent. Specific distributions could be supported
with plugins or feature branches.

For the benefit of others, I'd like to stress, though, that we really
really need many more talks. There's just under a month left now, and
what with christmas and similar attractions this month, I doubt that
we'll be able to find many people if time runs out. If I sound
desperate, it might be because I'm starting to be desperate :-)
