I was able to launch Amarok via the extra media key present on my
keyboard. been using the exact same method for speedcrunch, it does
not work :(

any idea what exactly is wrong?
Tried creating a new group in input actions? You don't have to change anything in global shortcuts. Everything is to be done from input actions.
Its tricky and I didn't get it right for quite some time. The UI is not intuitive :)
