I have the official dictionary from Bangla Academy, I will use it then. at first, I didn't even think about them because they don't have the best reputation... whatever I will try to be as formal as the schoolbooks. as far as I know, those are vetted by Bangla Academy.
Good. This is the right course of action.
The terminology of Debian’s or GNOME’s or other translations is also relevant.
sorry, but I failed to find Debian's or genome's Bangla documentation or things like that. the best Bangla docs I can find is the wikipedia.
I do not find a Bangla team on <https://translationproject.org/team/index.html> though.
sorry, I have no clue about that. I'm new to translating...
I intended to suggest to take inspiration from other Bangla translations of free, open-source software. It is sad however that from what you say, it appears there are none/few. translationproject.org should have a Bangla team but there is none. In general, try to convey the information in a way useful to Bengali readers. Do *not necessarily* translate literally, like machine translations would. Best wishes, Florian
