Hi, that's good practise! OTOH a good arguments against a translation are "in Bangla, most people say", "not in real life".
The terminology of Debian’s or GNOME’s or other translations is also relevant.
This IMO is a really important advice, already when not translating into different languages. If foo e.g. calls it "panel" then a Wiki related to foo shouldn't name it "taskbar", even if a lot of people might use the term "taskbar". Regards, Ralf
