Hi, I did some new updates to the installation guide (give an example of a disk setup in the interactive thing + document better what we do and don't support)

There are some rendering/syntax things which I will still be resolving.
The content, however should be good and "stable" now. This means translators can start.
notes: - we use markdown format. see http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/ (but look at official_installation_guide_en, the syntax is very simple) - latest versions will always be at http://projects.archlinux.org/?p=aif.git, experimental branch - please try to keep the content < 80chars. only exceptions are when a link is really just longer (markdown doesn't seem to support links over multiple lines) - the files are in the 'doc' folder. - i copied over quite some portions from the old installation guide (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Official_Arch_Linux_Install_Guide) but I did restructure and edit a lot. Especially the explanations for all the items in the "configure system" step are the same. (I just added /etc/pacman.conf and changed /etc/modprobe.conf to /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf) So you should be able to reuse stuff from the old translations. - it would be nice to get some translations in time for the actual release (9 august) but I doesn't matter much. the EN one will be on the discs, and we can always update the wiki after the release.
Out of curiosity, how are you handling translations? Just new files with the locale appended? Or separate dirs? Should the file name be translated? How is it going to look to the user of the ISO? What ends up in /arch ?
docs will have a file for each language. official_installation_guide_{en,it,de,..} so i would keep the file name in english. the entire contents of the docs folder will be available in /usr/share/aif/docs, which /arch/docs is a symlink to on the images. Dieter
