[aur-general] TU resignation
Hi all! I was thinking about this for a long time, and now finally got to this announcement. I've been inactive recently, due to troubles with internet, seeking new job, moving to the new city, and this will continue as I won't have a laptop and Internet here for at least 1 week. In the meantime, I have a lot of unread bugtracker notification threads in my gmailbox (844 at this moment), and this will be my top priority for the next months. In addition, I want to concentrate more on fixing bugs in Core/Extra packages (my plan is to lower the number of open bugreports to <400 by the end of this year). I can still continue maintaining some packages in community/unsupported, if noone will want to maintain them. I won't be following TU discussions actively anymore though. Thank you all for the nice time I spent as part of the TU group. Health and growth to the group! P.S.: the list of my packages is large enough, so I will post it in a separate message later today. -- Roman Kyrylych (Роман Кирилич)
Hi Roman, surely we will adopt your packages, don't worry about that, it's sad to know about your leaving from the team, but i know that you have your reasons (and you'll be contributing with Arch on the BT and that still being an effort). Best wishes, and just yell if you need anything from us. -- Angel Velásquez angvp @ irc.freenode.net Linux Counter: #359909 Arch Linux Trusted User

Yes, although understandable, it's certainly a sad thing to see him leaving the team. Well, he will anyways be around as he surely can't miss us :p I can take some of your packages, just tell us which one you want to keep yourself (if any)? Best, ronald

Sad to see my TU application sponsor leave the TUs, but given he is not really leaving Arch.... Anyway, I have a list of packages I will pilfer too. We are all a bunch of scavengers around here! Give us a call for the next bug day. Allan
Hi Roman, Sad to see you leaving. You helped a lot here and i am sure you will continue to do a great job on Arch. I could adopt some of your packages. Just let me know which you ones you want to keep. -- Hugo Doria http://hdoria.archlinux-br.org

:( I know that core and extra need your job: I'm sure you will do great thing with the 100% of your power, so I'm 50% sad and 50% happy: the best dev is at his max power! For other things, we're here ;) -- JJDaNiMoTh - ArchLinux Trusted User

Waoh, you indeed have already way too much with that. Hopefully dolby's help makes it less bad. Anyway I'm glad to see you are still motivated and want to concentrate on this :)

Btw, if a TU is interested in maintaining virtualbox-* packages in community, that would be cool :)
