[aur-general] Adopt orphan packages on AUR 4 now!
Hi, it is July 8th (anywhere on earth) now, so I just disowned all packages that were not uploaded to aur4.archlinux.org yet. Feel free to adopt and resubmit your favorite packages! Regards, Lukas

Nice to hear that. When will aur4 replace the aur subdomain? Cheers, Giancarlo Razzolini

Wich will be the address of the old aur or the location of the olds data-packages just in case? -- *Pablo Lezaeta*
The 'bastion' package[1] is not disowned, even though no AUR4 version exists[2]. Unless there's a reason for it being held back, I'd like to adopt it please. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bastion/ [2] https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&K=bastion
It is disowned: https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/bastion Just adopt it in the end of the box on the right. Le 09/07/2015 19:26, Sam S. a écrit :

No AUR3 packages have been disowned, and there is no real need to do so unless it is critical that one be updated in the next month. If all you are doing is adopting it, just push to the AUR4 (pushing to an orphaned package's repo will adopt it automatically). If in addition to adopting a package you want to update the version, then maybe you should "File request" on the AUR3 the usual way -- mention that you are *updating* it. ;) -- Eli Schwartz

It's complicated. ;-) First, by "I just disowned all packages that were not uploaded to aur4.archlinux.org yet" Lukas didn't talk about the old AUR. He disowned all packages in the AUR4 database that didn't get any git commits until yesterday and had merely been reserved for their AUR3 maintainers since June 8th. Second, the search function doesn't show these kind of packages (auto-imports without git repo). If you're comparing things between AUR3 and AUR4 it's better to use the URL bar to add/remove the "4". The statistics box on aur4.archlinux.org seems a bit funky too. --byte
