smls [1] filed a request to merge pidgin-indicator [2] into pidgin- appindicator [3]: pidgin-appindicator and pidgin-indicator seem to install exactly the same thing, just with a different package name and by two different maintainers. What's the deal with that? I'll leave it to the TU's to decide how to resolve this; just consider that: 'pidgin-appindicator' has existed longer, and has a bunch of votes. 'pidgin-indicator' has the better name (since the official upstream name is "pidgin-indicator" in the source and "Ubuntu Indicator" in the UI, and never uses the word "appindicator").
