Jason, is there any reason to keep this -bin package? -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/

I uploaded it for those of us that don't use Go. I am OK with it remaining, but if you'd prefer it removed I can live with that… Cheers, /J -- http://jasonwryan.com/ GPG: 7817 E3FF 578E EEE1 9F64 D40C 445E 52EA B1BD 4E40

The package on official repositories doesn't depend on Go (which in fact builds only (almost) static binaries. I'd rather keep your package around anyway – sometimes there are bugs in our package that are not reproducible in the upstream binaries (and this is exactly why I rejected this request). BP

Ah, that's fair then. Weird that the bugs aren't reproducible though.. different Go versions maybe? -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/

You don't build packages in [community], nor does built Go packages depend on the go package, which is why I asked. Unless there is anything different between the [community] package and the syncthing-bin package I see absolutely no reason to keep this package? -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/

Go is a makedepend: I prefer not to {,un}install it for every build. /J -- http://jasonwryan.com/ GPG: 7817 E3FF 578E EEE1 9F64 D40C 445E 52EA B1BD 4E40

Yes, and again, you don't build packages in [community] the maintainer in the official repos do. -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/

Yes, don't mind me. Now that I think about it, I cannot even recall why I uploaded it in the first place… Sorry for the noise. /J -- http://jasonwryan.com/ GPG: 7817 E3FF 578E EEE1 9F64 D40C 445E 52EA B1BD 4E40

Was just curious. :) Anyway, we'll keep it, considering Bart's message. -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/
