The compiler conflicts with our normal gcc. It provides all of
core/gcc's functionality too. But there is no replaces= tag in the PKGBUILD.

When installing applications, you might have to install
gcc-libs-multilib, which provides/conflicts gcc-libs - but
gcc-libs-multilib works fine with the normal gcc. Unless you paste me
some real pacman output, I cannot really tell what your problem is.
