No.

[darose at daroselin ~]$ pacman -Ql kdeutils | grep bin/ark
kdeutils /usr/bin/ark

[darose at daroselin ~]$ pacman -Ql kdemod3-kdeutils-ark | grep bin/ark
kdemod3-kdeutils-ark /opt/kde/bin/ark


Again, you can keep kdemod3 and kde4 side-by-side.  The problems you're 
having are conflicts between kde and kde-unstable.
