I've built the rc kernel and it will not even boot. As for bisecting the kernels
-- that's way above my skill level...... I've tried bisecting the radeonhd
driver from the git repo to catch the blackscreen bug introduced a while back
and all I accomplished was wasting 30+ hours..... That's why this bug needs help
from those who have the knowledge of what to look for and know what to do to
track it down. I'm good at identifying some things, but bugs in the boot process
involving the black magic of module loading -- ain't one of them :(
