I have those files there and I'll dig them out and post, but the issue is after
mgetty accepts the data call, with AutoPPP, pppd doesn't create the tcp/ip
connection for the data line. Let me dig out the config and post it.

I'm encouraged that you think pppd is still working fine. I have fought pppd
ever since suse 11.0, worked fine in 10.3 -- not in 11.0 same config. I'm tight
for time at the moment, I'll get this together tomorrow.
