[arch-general] Fwd: A plea for communication from Arch devs & maintainers

Here are the Arch site package links without the 4chan referer, my b. I
also want to mention I'm not trying to single out and particular
maintainer/Trusted user. This seems to be a wide ranging problem. Let me
reiterate, we the community WANT TO HELP. If it's money, make a fundraiser
and we will donate. If it's hands/eyes that's out of our hands unless you
offload some of these packages to the AUR. We love Arch and want to see it
be the best it can be.

Have a good night everyone. I hope tomorrow leads to a better path in the
way of Arch.

Having far outdated packages is a security issue so I will include security
as well.

Today a post was made on the subreddit about a massive amount of packages
being flagged outdated a very long time ago. It was nuked almost
immediately and linked to an older thread with a non-answer. This cannot be
brushed under the rug. It is not just random packages that are far out of
date but even core ones.

Even gnome-shell and others are far out of date.

Why are there still maintainers/Trusted Users that haven't been signed in
for 5 months holding packages hostage?

Please communicate with your userbase. We care and want to help.

See this thread. I was forced to move that persons post to 4chan because it
got nuked on the subreddit.

Thank you
