Did you checked how it's done for skype or wine? Use conditional statements:

if [[ $CARCH == i686 ]]; then
  depends=('gcc-libs' 'libsndfile')
else
  depends=('lib32-gcc-libs' 'lib32-libsndfile')
fi

and so on.
