What you describe sounds like a torrent site. That wasnt what i
suggested. See for example how Slackware, Debian & Fedora distribute
their torrents.

Yeah, that sounds like it. If thats the case this behaviour is unwanted.
The application suggestion was just an example.
Maybe we could find out what the above mentioned distributions use.
