The goal is still the same, we just fail to reach it.

I have been very busy with personal stuff (including during 2009) and it
has only gotten "worse" (i'm neglecting the uzbl project as well).

I have thought a few times about just quitting the releng team but
that would be even worse for arch linux...

You can however expect a final testbuild soonish, and hopefully an
official release afterwards.  What will happen after that, I don't
know. I wish I could just let go but that would put AL without an
archiso guy *and* without an installer guy.
