sorry, i usually build a package locally before i complain about it.
nothing is wrong with gimmie under arch, it's just the binary package
that is broken, a proper repackaging should do the trick..

please nevertheless file a bug report. What architecture did you install
the binary package on? Error messages?
I installed the binary package and there seems nothing wrong for me, I
did not need to rebuild.
