I'm sitting here hoping that the current bin32- naming convention does
not become deprecated, other than for some even better way of handling
the situation where both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries are available and a
package that installs the 32-bit binary on an x86_64 system is also useful.

I think that the bin32 and lib32 prefix should be used when the
bin/lib32 can co exist
with the non 32 package, just like the current lib32 packages are. Then
the packaes,
where upstream only provides 32 bit binary the package should be for
both arches.
