I've dealt with this kind of issue in the past and the first two
measures that you can implement are a) SPF records and b) DKIM signing.
All is published in TXT DNS records. The only downside of DKIM is that
there are signing facilities for sendmail and postfix only AFAIK and you
seem to prefer exim4.
After you have these measures in place it will be much easier to have
your domain cleared up. Even if the IP address is shared, the SPF
records are exclusive to the context of your domain.
