Ah, I thought it was a question specific to that piece of software and
I suggested to use the comments for that package (I suppose at least the
package maintainer reads comments). I think questions regarding
packages may be appropiate here, but if all users from all packages
start asking questions about packages here, I fear the mailing list
will be cluttered with lots of messages about software only a few
people actually use.

Of course these are only my € 0,02, I'm in no way a list moderator or
prescriber here.

Indeed, questions about AUR (= unsupported) software should not be
asked in the general mailing list.

And that's why comment discussions feel more appropiate to me: only
users of the software are notified. Actually, I might be more
responsive to comments, as they are delivered in my general inbox,
whereas mails to mailing lists pop up in several submaps.
