The command to generate the above example...

( find \( ! -type l -a ! -type f -printf "%y %P\n" \) , \
     \( -type l -printf "l %P %l\n" \) ; \
   find * -type f -print0 | xargs md5sum | \
     awk '{printf "f %s %s\n", $2, $1}' \
) | sort -k 2
