You don't use any po helper? Maybe you should.
There are several dedicated applications :
poedit, gtranslator, kbabel, etc
Personally, I use a vim plugin :
http://vim.sourceforge.net/scripts/script.php?script_id=695

All of these should allow you to find the untranslated and fuzzy
messages, and to find eventual errors.
Otherwise, using msgfmt manually can also help.
to check if the file is fully translated :
msgfmt --statistic <po file>
to check the file doesn't contain any errors (like missing %s) :
msgfmt -c <po file>

The last one would for example have detected the error made in Spanish
and Russian translation.
