[arch-multilib] Repo push perms for Speps

Hi guys I'd like user 'speps' to help me maintain a couple of packages in the repo since he's a multilib user (and I'm not). He has been TU for a few months already so he's good to go. He has also participated in a discussion here before [1]. So it'd be great if you could grant him multilib access. Thanks. [arch-multilib] Memory access error with gtk

Hello all, A recent update brought a weird error with the standard gtk filerequester. When I try to use the scrollbars or scroll down in the requester with the mouse wheel the complete app (Real Studio 2011 R4.1) simply dies with a memory access error. No further error messages, the app just vanishes from the sreen. All other functionality of the requester is o.k. This has been introduced about a month ago. Downgrading lib32-gtk2 to an earlier version does not work as there are dependencies for libcups that need lib32-gtk2 in version 2.24. Any clues? Or at least some tips how I can debug this further? FWIW: In an archlinux 32 bit installation the app is just working... Harvey -- I am root. If you see me laughing, you'd better have a backup!

[arch-multilib] feature request: lib32-libwebkit

I want to use Real Studio (an integrated IDE for Basic). It uses libwebkit for the display of online help, feedback apps and some other www-stuff in the program. This is out of my scope seeing all the dependencies of libwebkit. Is there a chance anybody can do this? Harvey

[arch-multilib] Help with lib32-rtmpdump

Hi there, I know this is not AUR list or the forums, but I felt like this would be the best option for a question specifically about lib32 packages... I'm trying to create a package for lib32-rtmpdump, but it doesn't have "./configure" so I'm a little lost and I don't know what I am missing. Hi all, topic says it all. RealStudio segfaults without further error messages For depends see: http://www.realsoftware.com/download/requirements.php Downgrading glibc and lib32-glibc solves the problem for now. I have testing and multilib-testing enabled. Harvey

- lib32-nss and lib32-nspr: Looks like these were old flashplugin dependencies (moved) - lib32-curl: Also seems to be a left over flashplugin dependency (moved) Not yet moved packages are listed here [1]. If someone knows why there were brought to multilib, please add it there so I can figure out what to move and what to keep. [arch-multilib] Why/when did we break gcc-multilib?

When we originally set up gcc-multilib and lib32-glibc, we did two things: 1) Not use /lib32, but only /usr/lib32. /lib is used for libraries that are needed during system boot, so there is no point in having /lib32 - it was clean with /usr/lib32. Now, we have /lib32 and binaries in there. 2) The linker was set to link against /lib/ld-linux.so.2. This allows executing binaries compiled with 'gcc -m32' under any other distribution. '/lib/ld-linux.so.2' is also a defacto standard for the linker path. Now, the linker is set to /lib32/ld-linux.so.2, making the binaries incompatible. Why was this changed? Even more important, why was this changed silently without being mentioned here? This makes me quite mad, as the original setup was nice, clean and very useful.

[arch-multilib] Addition of jack2-multilib and multilib push perms

Hi guys I want to add a 'jack2-multilib' to the repo, as an equivalent to 'lib32-jack'. This would allow users to continue using or to install 'jack2' while using a package requiring a 32-bit library of 'jack'. As it is currently, some multilib users are forced to use 'jack' even if they want to use 'jack2'. As there is no simple way to simply build in parts, 'jack2-multilib' replaces 'jack2' in a multilib installation. Even if there were, this would be the better approach since the software already contains a specific flag to build a "mixed" or hybrid jack. In light of this, I would also like the appropriate permissions to be able to push packages to [multilib]. Caveat: I'm not a multilb user. -- GPG/PGP ID: C0711BF1
