[pacman-dev] [translation] Let's start the work for 3.5.0 release
We're using transifex this time around, and going cold turkey, so I won't even look at translations submitted here. http://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.git/tree/doc/translation-help.txt The transifex help and the tx client will likely be your friend here. `tx pull` and `tx push -t -l en_GB` were two commands I used to try this whole system out. As I mentioned earlier, you will need transifex-client-hg (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=45787) from the AUR. Questions- send them to the list. Translations- please do not. -Dan

I cannot login at transifex. A DE translation team leader is already registered as "tlaloc" - that's my nick from bbs.archlinux.org. He uses my regular e-mail address (see above). However, I cannot login with my password from bbs. I tried to register as a new user with a different address, but this user is denied access to the German translation team. I would be glad if someone with appropiate permissions could send me tlalocs password to the address given above (it's me, anyway, and essentially it's Pierre's server - pretty secure). For obvious reasons, please don't reply to the list. Alternatively, you could assign the new user "Matthias_Gorissen" to the German translation team. All the best, Matt

Alternatively, you could assign the new user "Matthias_Gorissen" to the German translation team.
You're barking up the wrong tree here- we don't host anything here, this is all Transifex. I would assume the account you refer to is in fact yours, and that they have some sort of reset password link somewhere... -Dan

Well, I uploaded my .po files to transifex (when I wrote the last e-mail, I hadn't have write access yet), and it reformatted my .po file and reset the header. It still doesn't work, now I _always_ get plural forms. Since LANG=fr_FR.utf8 always gives English output here, I cannot test French :-(. On transifex website, my translation looks fine (I can see correct "one" and "other" strings, visually the same output as with French .po file), please test it, maybe something is wrong here. I can't do anything more atm, I think I did my translation job. Hint: In Hungarian we use "154 file" and "1 file" (we only use plural, if it gives "extra" information), so please test the unresolvable stuff, like "pacman -S gimp --ignore libwmf", there you should see the difference between "following package" and "following packages". NG

If `locale -a` doesn't list a locale you are trying to use, you need to actually generate it using /etc/locale.gen and locale-gen.
