The only problem with images >700 MB is that while DVDs are about the
same price as CDs, not every computer has a DVD-burner and many can't
even read DVDs because they have a CD-only drive (e.g. many 5yo
notebooks).
I think a 2 GB limit for dual-arch or some kind of a "full" (as
opposed to base and netinstall) image is sensible.
