Well. That's exactly what I'm doing right now. With my unofficial user
repository it's working great. Pacman can handle it just like it does
with java-environment. Unfortunately aurweb doesn't.

The split package approach might work as a workaround but I don't
really like where this is going.

I'd like to something like this
(https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/eclipse-common)
working in aurweb. It looks like aurweb isn't using provides and
replaces information at all.
