Hi all, Could anyone try to reproduce the bug I'm seeing in inkscape on x86-64: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182047. [arch-ports] PPC: libpoppler: please, update to 0.8.4

Hello, I'm an user of the PPC port of ArchLinux. I have problems with evince, which crashes after reloading a .pdf a few times. The installed packages are: extra/poppler 0.8.3-1 extra/evince 2.22.1.1-2 (gnome-extra) After a search, I've found that the problem I have is already known and fixed: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=484160 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=536482 http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16529 http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/poppler/2008-June/003900.html Briefly, they say that the bug is fixed in poppler 0.8.4. Hi, (I'm an user of the PPC port of ArchLinux) It seems that ghostscript should be recompiled. Infact, the following dynamic libraries are missing on my sys- tem: # ldd /usr/bin/gs|grep 'not found' libkrb5.so.22 => not found libhx509.so.1 => not found The installed version of these libraries is: /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.25.0.0 /usr/lib/libhx509.so.3.0.0 Bye

I installed Arch on my x86 Desktop and my macbook and i love it. I attempted to install Debian on my G5 PowerMac but had no luck (yaboot problems). What I would like to know is how well does Arch work on a G5, does anyone here use it on a regular basis, and what are the challenges to installing it. Eventually, I would like to stop using OS X.

Going to retire my old Arch server soon, and the new one (my current desktop) is a 64-bit machine (AMD Athlon 64). So I'm leaning towards taking the plunge and installing Arch x86-64 on it. Just wondering though if there's still any major packages that aren't available in 64bit that might make me want to rethink this decision. The only package I'm aware of that I use frequently and is not available in 64-bit is flashplugin. 1) Anyone aware of any other notable exceptions? 2) Is there any workaround to be able to use the 32-bit flashplugin with firefox?
