Hi folks, next weekend is FrOSCon and I wanted to ask if there's anything I should bring with me. I could offer: - TFT + Mini-ITX system for demo purposes - all sorts of networking stuff - power strips - a few Arch stickers Also, I'll drive by car from Düsseldorf, just in case somebody nearby needs a ride. cya, byte

[arch-events] LinuxTag 2011 in Berlin

Hey, will any of you be at LinuxTag 2011 in Berlin? Last time we met some Archers at our booth (linux-gamers.net) and had some nice conversations. We also demonstrated our superiority versus some of the Debian folks by formatting a USB key with ext4 which they couldn't read due to having an unreasonably "stable" (old) kernel. If anybody wants to meet up and perhaps troll some folks using distros that are more obsolete than Arch, feel free to meet/slap me at the linux-gamers.net booth. It will also likely have a giant Arch Linux banner. -- Sven-Hendrik

[arch-events] ArchLinux-booth at LinuxTag 2011 ?

Hi everyone! I asked about a booth for ArchLinux at LinuxTag 2011 on the forums and was redirected here. LinuxTag 2011 takes place in Berlin from 11th to 14th May. I got the thought from the three wikipages about the organization of a representation for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. Were there any reasons for discontinuing this? I don't know how long it takes to think something like this through or wether it is already too late to register a booth by now. But as I live in Germany anyway I'd gladly help in organinzing an Arch representation.

Hi guys, so sat/sun 5-6 februari is fosdem. the awesomest FOSS conf in Europe. on fri 4 feb I'll be coming from Amsterdam to brussels directly, where I'll spend the night from fri-sat (after the (pre-)fosdem beer event), if any of you guys will stay at a hostel on saturday evening I think I'll join you (otherwise I go home on saturday eve and come back on sunday) so, what are your plans? anyone joining the beer event? Who is staying at which hostel? I know a Gentoo guy who'll stay at http://www.hotel-opera.be/, but there are more in the brussels area. Dieter

Greetings, My name is Gareth J. Greenaway and I am the Community Relations chair for the Southern California Linux Expo. Our show is taking place on February 25th - 27th, 2011 at the Hilton LAX in Los Angeles, California.
