Hi, This fixes a trivial bug that prevents create_xdelta() from finding any old package versions, cleans up its use of messages, and adds a warning stressing the importance of distributing the deltas with the tarball from the same makepkg run. Hello, this commit broke pacman -Q : http://projects.archlinux.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=pacman.git;a=commit;h=722db4… If the list of targets is empty, then it doesn't enter the loop, and no code is executed. Handling the case where there are no targets inside the loop visiting the targets is pretty funny in my opinion. So I tried to handle this case separately, but I find the whole function still very messy. Because this case is handled differently depending on the type of query. So what about making new function for each different query ? And not trying to handle all the cases in the same big for loop, but having a separate loop for each. Maybe it could be better that way.

Another patch :) This one targets the 3 dep check functions (handledeps, resolvedeps, removedeps). The bulk of the changes are whitespace and removing the repetitive if..then...else checks. Also some bits have been reordered to stop functions/external programs being called unnecessarily. This still includes the fakeroot hacks, if you need it rediffed without the fakeroot hacks, I'll post a new patch. Do we need a 3.0.5 release with the following fixes?: FS7323: http://tinyurl.com/28wraj - libarchive not setting permissions FS7300: http://tinyurl.com/23uyp5 - add -mtune=generic to CFLAGS Most of the other bug fixes are big and/or mixed in with 3.1.0 features so they're not to easy to backport.
