Hi all, I came across a forum post (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=80997) discussing how AUR needs to be improved, which led to the AUR2 wiki page. However, the last major updates, either to the Wiki page or the git repository, happened in February. I was wondering what the status of the project was and, if the project is still alive, contribute by coding and updating the Wiki . If the project is not alive, I would like to know why and if it would be worth bring the discussion back up.

Path supports rss, atom, and json type 'feeds'. Renamed rss.php -> feed.php Reworked feedcreator class quite a bit as well. - Now requires php-json (aurjson required this too, so not a big deal). - STRONGLY Recommends php-memcache. This is how the feed is cached in this version. No more file cache. Further work: - Someone could probably add handling for 'if-modified-since' http headers, to determine if you can just send an 'HTTP/1.0 304 Not Modified' header, or if you need to send a newer version. I don't believe the old version supported this, but it makes sense (and should be easier using memcached). Usage: feed.php?t=rss -- rss feed feed.php?t=atom -- atom feed feed.php?t=json -- json 'style' feed Patch attached (gzip compressed).

[aur-dev] Remove LocationID and return Category instead of CategoryID

Patch to update the aur data to return data a bit more 'friendly' to client side utilities. Additional query load should be minimal. Note: Removed LocationID from results because everything is unsupported now.
