Hi New cups 1.4.x introduces many new features. Due to config syntax changes, please start with a clean cupsd.conf file, else weird issues might happen. USB-Printers: In order to get usb printers working, you need to disable usblp module in your rc.conf file. [arch-dev-public] confirm LTS kernel / usb printer permission issues

I have a permission issue when using the kernel26-lts with my usb printer. The device doesn't always get "lp" group. Especially when I switch it off and on again. Then new cups 1.4.x can't find the printer. With kernel 2.6.30 and 2.6.31 the group is always set well. I already asked a few udev upstream devs without a solution so far. See http://www.spinics.net/lists/hotplug/msg02798.html It would be nice if some of you could try confirming my problem and maybe you can help me to find the reason why it fails on my server. [arch-dev-public] Last backpacking trip of the year this weekend

I'm heading down to Missouri (MISSOUR-AH!) for some hiking and camping this weekend before it gets too cold. I'm leaving tonight and will be away from computers and stuff like that. I will be back Sunday night. If anything bad happens, just panic :)

Another upstream release, I want to move directly after signoff. Last minute changes: - Changed number of maximum serial ports to 32 - Enabled ATI KMS (if this causes problems, blame Andy, he says it's fine :D) Working fine on x86_64, i686 will be ready soon.
