Do we care about makedepends being in repos lower down the hierarchy? The current Integrity Check email lists >170 issues in this category. If these are never going to be addressed, I suggest we remove it from the output so that the more important errors are focused on. Allan

Some things are a bit hacky still, but it shouldn't be worse than it has always been. The main issue at the moment is the wiki. I am not against moving to core by the end of the week. The move should be paired with an announcement on the frontpage. Currently the best text I have for this announcement is included below this mail (the last sentence is new), but suggestions are welcome. Reason is that it's buggy and has been unmaintained for close to 3 years. There's currently one open bug about it [1], which I'm not willing to troubleshoot. The suggested alternative application is GNOME's archive tool, File Roller. Unless anyone objects, I'm going to move it to the AUR in a few days. [1] https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29650

Hi all, the wiki will be down for one or two hours today as I need to finally fix our encoding problems. I'll try to reduce the actual downtime by setting it to readonly as long as possible. At some point in history an update must have gone wrong. As a result we now have a mix of latin1, utf8 and binary fields which leads to problems when used within the same query. Since version 1.19 non-latin1 pages can no longer be edited. As our database schema is very different (we have different field types, additional columns and tables) from what you get when you do a new install I figured it would be easiest to dump the current data and reinstall the wiki from scratch.
