[arch-dev-public] asymptote in extra?

I'd like to bring asymptote (a vector graphics language, http://asymptote.sourceforge.net/) to extra. It is currently in AUR (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=10348). I could actually bundle it with texlive-bin since it is now (optionally) included in TeXLive 2009, but packaging it separately is much less trouble. I would add it to texlive-bin's optdepends. Objections?

All of these packages should be moved to core so they can be included in the ISOs: mkinitcpio: Just a one-commit change, has been in testing for a while, just no signoff thread (was waiting for full -any support) cryptsetup: nobody ever replied, works fine here openvpn: Paul tested -1, -2 fixed the URL and one bug in the new init script, but I never got a reply on the signoff. initscripts: no idea, but gerbra says he needs a fix that is included here.

It's time for the 16th release in the grub 0.97 series. Grub 0.97 is now allowed to have drinks ;-) This release fixes FS#14363. The old inode patch caused in some circumstances a division by zero which is no good, the new patch fixes this. In testing for both architectures. Please signoff. Ronald

Hi all, just a not for those using kde-unstable: The automated split of kdeplasma- addons was a little insane. So, I have just commited a version that splits by second level dirs and libs and dataengines are merged. During the update pacman should replace your old packages; if not let me know. Hi, we currently announced 2009.08-beta1 [1]. Our time plan (if we don't get any showstopper) to RC and final release is: 2009.08-RC on Monday, 3. August 2009 2009.08 Final latest on 9. August 2009 I've build a iso with testing repo enabled to see if we get any problem with packages current in testing but maybe on the release in core/extra - but all seems to work fine. But if you plan other transitions before release date (or if you see anything what could break the images) please hold them back until the release is done. Or leave a reply to us... Open issues for the release which belongs to core/extra packages: ------------- FS#15378 - mkinitcpio does not load usb module Also we wait on initscripts 2009.07-3 (and related packages) enter to core to solve a problem witch hwclock syncing during liveCD shutdown. Upstream update These are the differences between version 429 and version 436: * Don't pass "-" to non-pipe LESSOPEN unless it starts with "-". * Allow a fraction as the argument to the -# (--shift) option. * Fix highlight bug when underlined/overstruck text matches at end of line. * Fix non-regex searches with ctrl-R. added a symlink to the shared lib to fix reported compile issues introduced by the moving the static lib in the last update and removed rpath. fixes #15266 and #14366. please signoff to make depending upgrades in extra and core possible. another bug is left and the maintainer should have a look if the static lib is still broken: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/15634 -Andy
