The parse_pkgbuilds.sh script was assumed to be in the current working directory, which is quite stupid since check_packages.py can be called from anywhere. Now it only assumes that check_packages.py and parse_pkgbuilds.sh are in the same directory. Ok, now, thanks to Allan and Thomas, we should have these dep-cycles under control. The listed packages are in testing now, and they simply fix scriptlet install errors when installing to a clean chroot. Please test them out as I'd like to get them in core as soon as possible for the final ISO build. Cheers, Aaron

These three packages contain fixes for our core dep-cycle that was discussed in another thread. Changes: texinfo now scans *all* info files on install (not on upgrade) - this means that packages do not need direct deps, as it will pick up all info files when it's installed glibc and bash no longer require/depend on texinfo - existence of install-info is checked before running it Please signoff. The install ISOs need these packages to ensure installation happens cleanly.

This idea is Thomas', I take no credit, except that I actually wrote it up. The idea: texinfo, on install, processes all info files. bash and glibc (and, likely, other packages in core) no longer need to depend on texinfo, but should check for install-info in the scriptlets before running. a) user installs bash and glibc. No info files are processed, texinfo not installed user then installs texinfo, all info files are processed b) user installs texinfo first (somehow) user then installs bash, info files processed due to existence of install-info c) user follows case a or b user upgrades bash or glibc, info files processed as normal due to presence of install-info Any issues with this? See attached patch. Please review. If possible, this needs to go to core before we release the ISOs.

Hello all, I'd appretiate it if we could get all testing packages that need to go to core in core as soon as we can. I am upload the "beta2" ISOs right now with some bug fixes, but think this may fix things and allow us to fully release. On the day we build the release ISOs, I'd like to have core in a nice state.
