This release includes fixes for: crashed when writing backup files in certain conditions, improper screen centering when moving up/down in various combination of smooth scrolling and soft wrapping modes, a search crash on the armel arch, and issues with lots of keybinding customizations causing crashing particularly on FreeBSD. Also included are better help menu entries for forward/back in the file browser, some man page tweaks and one assert fix. As always, share and enjoy!

Upstream update. Fixes a CVE: gzip -d could segfault and/or clobber the stack, possibly leading to arbitrary code execution. This affects x86_64 but not 32-bit systems. This fixes CVE-2010-0001. For more details, see http://bugzilla.redhat.com/554418 gzip -d would fail with a CRC error for some valid inputs. So far, the only valid input known to exhibit this failure was compressed "from FAT filesystem (MS-DOS, OS/2, NT)". In addition, to trigger the failure, your memcpy implementation must copy in the "reverse" order. Signoff both, Allan

Hi everybody, we are working on the upcoming KDE SC release for some time now but we have reached a state when we would like to invite you to help us testing the new packages. There are about two weeks left until KDE SC 4.4 will finally be released; so the current snapshot is quite usable. Especially Devs and TUs should use the kde-unstable repository and check if their Qt or KDE related applications still work. If KDE 4.4 or Qt 4.6 does break your app please add Andrea and me to the assignees so we get an overview of the "damage". There is a small guide about using the kde-unstable repository at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:KDE#Users So, if you feel you need to tell others about kde-unstable please always add a link to that page.
