With 2.6.28, the new wirless regulatory infrastructure is there. The above packages are in extra (libnl) or testing (iw, crda). If we want proper wireless support, we need these packages in core. It works like this: - Install crda - Uncomment the right country code in /etc/conf.d/wireless-regdom - Add wireless-regdom to your rc.conf DAEMONS and run /etc/rc.d/wireless-regdom start The kernel will now know on which frequencies you are allowed to send. Without this, you should only be able to access a small number of channels. The cfg80211_regdom kernel module option will be removed in 2.6.29 and should not be used anymore.

The parsing script didn't set CARCH previously, and the flashplugin PKGBUILD exited in this case. First override the exit function to prevent the whole script to exit, and add a --arch option to be able to set CARCH correctly. Hey guys, Looking for a signoff for libarchive 2.6.0. I had to apply one small patch to fix a problem I found running pactest on the pacman source, so it is fairly well-tested already. On another note- I compiled *without* LZMA support, which is now available as of this release. I would like to eventually compile this in, but it would require us to move the lzma-utils package to core. Any big objections to moving this in so libarchive can be compiled with LZMA support? -Dan

I was planning so many things on mkinitcpio which I didn't do yet, so here is a quickfix for 2.6.28 usage: - Add ext4 detection to filesystem hook - Rename ide-disk to ide-gd_mod in the ide hook - Depend on the new klibc 1.5.14-2 so fstype and kinit can detect ext4 properly.

Using --exclude-vcs handles also files used internally by Bazaar, Mercurial and Darcs. * Transformation scope flags Name transformation expressions understand additional flags that control type of archive members affected by them. The flags are: - r Apply transformation to regular archive members. - s Apply transformation to symbolic link targets. - h Apply transformation to hard link targets. Corresponding upper-case letters negate the meaning, so that `H' means ``do not apply transformation to hard link targets.''
