[aur-general] DomainU don't seem to boot with xen 3.3.1-1

Hi everyone, I upgraded my Arch install with the latest release and then installed Xen 3.3.1-1 on it. I booted successfully the Domain0 I wanted to install/test a new ArchLinux system as DomainU so I created a new DomainU (named arch-test) with the these settings : " # -*- mode: python; -*- #============================================================================ kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-1-xenU" memory = 256 name = "Arch-Test" disk = [ 'file:/home/xen/arch-test/arch-test.img,hda1,w', 'file:/home/xen/arch-test/arch-test-swap,hda2,w' ] root = "/dev/hda1 ro" " When I enter : "xm create -c arch-test" on a xterm I get : 1- some messages from Python indicating there is some depreciated module (sha) 2- a new Qemu window (black background) 3- nothing else 4- after about 1 min the Qemu window disappear and I get a message error about vif I googled 2 days about this problem without any result. My question is : - Is my DomainU boots ? how I can see it ? - I tried to boot from an iso (xen option : boot='d') but this doesn't work at all... may be the same problem ? The [community] packages which do not have a license: (list does not contain lib32* packages) * deb2targz: Appears to be a simple script file, without any kind of license information. * flightgear-atlas * gps * hula * kbd-ru-keymaps * p3scan: GPL with some OpenSSL exception. [1] * t1utils: custom license [2] * whitebox * xchatosd If some of these do not genuinely have a license, I think it's best to contact the upstream author and ask if we can distribute the binary; otherwise the package should be moved to unsupported. [aur-general] TU Resignation angvp

Hi all, I've thinking this for a while, and it is, I quit (I had many doubts about if I am doing the right thing, so this wasn't an easy choice). I want to thank those all people who helped me (hdoria, Allan, BaSh, voidnull, dsa, bardo, and someother ppl), and I beg to the people that I've sponsored (Anders,haawda,even,ornitorrincos) don't feel disappointed, I trusted you to be here, and I hope to have you here for long time :-). Unfortunatelly, I got disappointed with many things, then I lost my enthusiasm... So I decided to left apart the crew and make more effort on other goals in my life. I will continue using Arch (until now I still thinking "Arch is the best distro that I found"), but I won't continue collaborating like I usually did, but surelly I will be pleased to be helpful if anyone needs me. This was a good chapter in my life, because I really enjoyed being a TU and being a part of an important Open Source project (for me Arch was very important in my life). Feel free to grab and drop any of my packages, I won't continue maintaining them, for now no-one is out-of-date, just mysql-gui-tools, because r14 isn't easy at all to build, and I tried several times but I failed to package a version with this release.. Best wishes for you, and I hope the project gets more enthusiastic people (like the great community that we have) everyday, and maybe (who knows?) Hi, With the news of angvp just resigning... well, I've also thought about resigning for some time now. I don't really have a lot of time for TU work because of real life stuff, so I've neglected it too much recently. That is why I feel I shouldn't really be a TU anymore. My packages in community are: 6tunnel dmd (out-dated) dsss (maybe out-dated) libphobos (out-dated) libtango (probably out-dated) luafilesystem luajit luasql-mysql premake (out-dated) I've orphaned them and the following AUR packages since I don't really have time to maintain them: libtango-svn lualdap lualogging luasql-sqlite3 nano-svn neverball-svn php-xcache wol I wish the best of luck to all the current and future TUs out there. -- Anders Bergh

[aur-general] Orphan request

Hi, could a TU please orphan the package h264enc which is fairly outdated. The maintainer does not respond to emails and therefore I would like to adopt the package. I have a working PKGBUILD for the latest available version ready. Thanks, Markus
