[aur-general] registration with wrong email

Hi, Some days ago, I wanted to register an AUR account but unfortunately used the wrong email address (respiranto(a)icloud.de instead of .com). Since the mail with the password has been sent to the wrong email adress (which is probably not existing), I am not able to change the email-adress nor to delete the account to create a new one with the desired username respiranto. Is it possible, that somebody who has the right to do so, deletes the current account connected to respiranto((a)icloud.de)? It would probably be best to do this after sending a mail to the current mail (.de) and waiting a week or so, so you can be sure it was actually me, who created the account.

As discuced countless times, there is a recurrent request to remove Category because is not acurated to the many catoegories that a package could have, is not a translatable part, always there are miscategoriced packages, and so on (even there is a few bugs to improbe and to remove it) the list is long if you read the thread across the years. Now with AUR4, this camp finaly will be updated to reflect a propper categorization (maybe imtating the availabe categories in Debian or Ubuntu) and make it translatable or will be dropped finally for joy of some and sad of others? also "Learn more" is not tranlatable string in the fromnt page. -- *Pablo Lezaeta*

Hi, I prefer to use individual ssh public keys on different machines, but I could register only single key in my profile on aur4.archlinux.org. Is there any chance to support multiple ssh public keys like github[1] or Bitbucket[2]? This creates a .SRCINFO from the first PKGBUILD of the package and doesn't update the file for later commits anymore. So your .SRCINFO is outdated in all following commits. The problem was in one of the scripts linked in the wiki but is fixed there, too. So don't test for .SRCINFO, *always* run mksrcinfo. -- JonnyJD

[aur-general] [AUR4] Is there a tool for using a single git repo for several packages?

(Due to my poor English, the subject may not be easy to understand. I'll explain it below.) Hello AUR users, First I'm glad to see that AUR now switches to a git-based package system. I'm always interested in what are changed for an AUR package. Before AUR4, such an information is generally not available unless the submitter leaves a comment. Now I'd like to talk about my scenario. Before AUR4, I maintain a single git repo for all packages. I need to re-upload all my packages now. There are several handy utilities listed at the AUR wiki [1]. Among them, "import-to-aur4" seems suitable for those who use git repos before AUR4. However, import-to-aur4.sh does not meet my need: 1. It's designed for aur-dev rather than aur4. The workflow is slightly different. 2. Looks like it's a one-time script rather than for long-term use. (See the example usage below) Is there an existing tool that can read individual packages from a single repo and push it to AUR4? A use case can be: $ vim python-foobar/PKGBUILD $ git commit -a -m "python-foobar: Update to version x.y.z" $ ./push-package-to-aur4.sh python-foobar push-package-to-aur4.sh reads from local repo, creates the repo remotely if necessary and pushes PKGBUILD, .SRCINFO, and other source files. [aur-general] [AUR4] Web-UI doesn't show repo HEAD

Hello, I might be missing something but the web-ui for AUR4 for one of my packages is not showing the latest HEAD of the git repository. The package I'm referring to is caatinga [1] currently updated to 1.1.1-1 as you can see in the PKGBUILD [2]. The web interface though still shows as 1.0.2-1. Is this expected or a bug?
