Hello all, I regret that it has come time for me to resign from Arch Linux, at least for now. I have a lot of things going on in my life, with a new job, a major cross-country move, and so forth. I haven't really been attending to my Arch responsibilities, and that isn't really good for Arch. I hope to be able to reapply at some later date. The list of my packages is at the bottom of this message. Anyway, it has been fun. The Arch Linux community is great. It's one of the greatest things about this distro. PS. I'll continue maintaining my TalkingArch project. Hey All, If systemd is going into base, should the "systemadm" utility make its way into repo from AUR? [aur-general] GHC 7.6.1 now in [testing]

Hey everyone! It's that time again for arch to get the latest ghc! GHC 7.6.1 comes with a bunch of new and exciting features: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/7.6.1/html/users_guide/release-7-6-1.html This morning, all the haskell packages should have been rebuilt against the latest ghc and I have moved all haskell pkgs to testing. One caveat is that cabal-install wasn't rebuilt but it should still work while upstream works on patching it for ghc 7.6.1 It took just under a month to do the full rebuild because of the amount of patching and coordination with upstream we had to do. I will let it sit in testing for a week so that aur maintainers for haskell pkgs have time to investigate and patch their packages. I would like to thank everyone who worked on this rebuild! Cheers!

My package mcobj [1] has been repeatedly been marked out of date 580 times in 10 minutes, with 61 out-of-date marks per minute (picture for proof [2]). Checking through the email, I saw that the user that was doing this was named invented [3]. I'm not really sure what's going on, particularly whether this is malicious or not. I have emailed invented, and am posting this to try to get to the bottom of this. Has invented (or have other users) done this before? [aur-general] psad package probably orphaned

Hi, First of all sorry for all the mess I may do with this mail but it's my first message to this group. Some time ago I found that psad package in AUR is out of date (version in AUR 2.1.7, current version 2.2). On 19 Jun 2012 I posted a comment hoping maintainer will notice it, however no reaction. Then I flagged the package as out of date (13 Jul 2012), still no reaction. After a long time of waiting I mailed the maintainer (24 Sep 2012) if he's planning to update the package because if not I could take the maintanance over. Until now I recieved no answer. Here's my question. Can some TU orphan the package so I can take care of it? I mean update and maintain later. Peace, xartii
