I have no problem with removing it, especially considering we've always been fine with makedepends in other repos. PS sent from my phone, sorry if the format blows. I think it's top posting... Hi, This will not be happening until the release of python-2.7 (scheduled for late June). Given that is going to be (or at least is most likely to be...) the last major python2 release, it will be a good time to transition towards python3 usage. I have made notes at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:Python_Todo_List outlining how the transition will occur. Any comments are welcomed. Allan

Bring back support for `diff -NUM', where NUM is a number, even when conforming to POSIX 1003.1-2001. This change reverts to the behavior of GNU diff 2.7 and earlier. This is a change only when conforming to POSIX 1003.1-2001; there is no effect when conforming to older POSIX versions. This change is in response to decisions taken in the January 2005 Austin Group standardization meeting.
