This allows setting a different cachedir for (e.g.) i686 and x86_64 chroots. Signed-off-by: Allan McRae <allan(a)archlinux.org> --- Here is a description of my setup: i686 cache = /var/cache/pacman/pkg (default) x86_64 cache = /var/cache/pacman/pkg-x86_64 I have "clean" pacman.confs for i686 and x86_64 in /etc/pacman32.conf and /etc/pacman64.conf respectively. The CACHEDIR variable for the x86_64 conf is set appropriately. With this patch I can create chroots like: sudo mkarchroot -C /etc/pacman32.conf -M /etc/makepkg32.conf ... sudo linux64 mkarchroot -C /etc/pacman64.conf -M /etc/makepkg64.conf ... and then use them as usual and the cachedir is handled transparently. Tested with both CACHEDIR defined and undefined in pacman.conf. Have not tested specifying the cachedir on the command line. I suspect there will be issues with updating due to different cachedirs specified on the command line and in the working directory pacman.conf. I've added "include /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf" into /etc/ld.so.conf + the /etc/ld.so.conf.d directory. So we are no more forced to touch ld.so.conf directly. New xulrunner pkg will make use of it to detect the openjdk6 plugin. Please migrate the change from the ld.so.conf.pacnew file you will receive. For the future we should clean up packages that touched ld.so.conf directly. On my system these paths were added: /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/lib/libfakeroot /opt/lib32/lib /opt/lib32/usr/lib Please signoff. -Andy

Hi Devs, I tried to fix the most annoying things in our devtools today and I think it's time to put it into a package for [testing]. See git for a changelog: http://projects.archlinux.org/devtools.git/log/ Imho it's best to have more releases with a little number of changes. Hi all, while having a little review of our devtools I noticed the we use svnmerge in archrelease to merge changes from trunk into the repo dir. This is very expensive and sometimes fails for more or less known reasons. So, I wonder why we don't just do something like this: svn rm repos/extra-i686 svn cp trunk repos/extra-i686 I did not check if this would requrie a commit after the rm or if we could do it in one run.
