Mostly Aaron/Thomas, Did you guys happen to see this? http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=617286 http://students.mimuw.edu.pl/~kk219459/mkinitcpio/ This guy made mkinitcpio 3-4 times faster (he claims). I can believe it, and although it runs quite fast on my quad-core desktop box, it definitely crawls on my Eee. You might have to poke him to provide diffs and separate patches, but he does seem willing to help you guys out. -Dan

New LTS kernel. No changes to the config, no further patching. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/887240 and because of a build issue http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/887529 I'd like to move it soon to core. Please give signoffs. If you don't use it try it out if it works for you as fallback and can boot into shell with a clean dmesg. Thanks. -Andy

Hi, The current heimdal package does not build due to an autoconf update (http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/16015). I have a patch that can be applied to fix that but I do not particularly want to rebuild given it does not affect the actual package. It is also a bit of a waste of time applying the patch only to trunk as a new heimdal release will occur before any rebuild is likely to be needed. Can I apply the patch and archrelease core-{i686,x86_64} or would that require a sign-off? Allan

I rebuilt evms to fix FS#16079. This moved various files to /sbin and /lib to allow systems with /usr on a separate EVMS volume. I also added a couple of upstream patches, a patch for the --as-needed flag and removed the install file (covered by optdepends). As I do not use EVMS, I would like reports of it still working before I move it to [extra]. This is one occasion where it is safe to install a single package from the [testing] repo. Allan

Any objections in adding it before releasing 2.6.30.6? Hi, I was running db-remove on weechat in [testing] (the version in [extra] was updated and no longer needs a rebuild for ruby) yesterday and I got some weird output. [allan@gerolde ~]$ /arch/db-remove weechat testing i686 ==> Removing package 'weechat' from 'testing'... Checked out revision 51221. Removing from subversion Removing from testing DB file (i686) ==> Extracting database to a temporary location... ==> Searching for package 'weechat'... ==> Creating updated database file 'testing.db.tar.gz' Package files will be cleaned up automatically [allan@gerolde ~]$ /arch/db-remove weechat testing x86_64 ==> Removing package 'weechat' from 'testing'... Checked out revision 51222. Removing from subversion Removing from testing DB file (i686) ==> Extracting database to a temporary location... ==> Searching for package 'weechat'... ==> ERROR: Package matching 'weechat' not found. ==> No packages modified, nothing to do. Package files will be cleaned up automatically error: repo lock doesn't exist... something went terribly wrong! I'm guessing the PKGBUILD is sourced and the arch variable is overwritten... I am a bit busy to look into this at the moment so I am flagging it for someone else to look at. Allan
